Haori.
A haori is a type of short kimono.
It is worn over a kimono to protect against the cold and as formal clothing.
Today, in addition to the traditional way of wearing it, it can also be worn over clothing or turned inside out to expose the lining.
As a fashion item such as a jacket.
The whole is dyed in Bordeaux color, and the pattern is a round flower pattern.
The types of flowers are camellia and paulownia.
The woven pattern that is woven into the entire fabric is the "Hishimonyo".
The pattern that emerges three-dimensionally depending on how the light hits it is beautiful.
After the pattern is woven with white thread, the entire fabric is dyed, and the process of dyeing the pattern takes time and effort.
This requires skilled craftsmanship.
"Haura" is a Karako pattern.
The patterns depicting children playing are very cute.
(Haura is the lining of haori.)
This is an antique long haori with a Showa retro atmosphere.
We use 100% silk vintage kimono fabric, but due to its delicate nature, it should be hand washed or machine washed in cold water and ironed or dry cleaned in cold water.
